Future Pilot Assessment Day

University of West London
Friday 10th July 2026

Applying to an Approved Training Organisation (ATO) or sponsored Airline programme can be a daunting task for any aspiring young pilot.

The Honourable Company of Air Pilots is therefore pleased to announce a new initiative aimed at guiding prospective pilots through the process.

This will be an informal course covering an industry outlook, pilot competencies, the basics of written applications (including CVs), numerical reasoning tests, video interviews, in-person interviews, group assessments, and pilot aptitude testing.   If available, there is potential to have some time in the fixed-base B737 Simulator. Please note this isn't part of the FPAD assessment, and cannot be guaranteed.

The day will cover:

  • Industry outlook
  • Pilot competencies
  • Written application (including CVs)
  • Numerical reasoning tests
  • Video interviews and in-person interviews
  • Group assessments
  • Pilot Aptitude Testing

The event will be run by industry experts who have been involved in pilot recruitment for decades, utilising techniques and tests used by major airlines.

The confirmed venue and date:

10th July 2026

University of West London
St Mary's Road

The cost for the day is £145, which represents unparalleled value. No profits will be made from the event, and any monies remaining after costs will be used to fund flying scholarships
